NDT Inspection for Cast aluminum Parts

Every aluminum casting part is inspected before shipment — surface porosity, cold shuts, shrinkage defects, and dimensional deviations are all caught in-house, so defective parts never reach your production line.

X-RAY

X-RAY

Reveals internal shrinkage cavities, porosity clusters, and misruns inside complex aluminum casting geometries that surface inspection cannot reach.

Ultrasonic Testing

Measures wall thickness and detects subsurface voids or inclusions in large or heavy-section aluminum casting parts — non-destructively, leaving the part fully intact.

Our Aluminum Casting Manufacturing Approach

We combine degassed aluminum, gravity-controlled solidification, and precision post-processing into one integrated workflow — so parts arrive dimensionally accurate, structurally sound, and ready to install.

Engineering Design & Pattern Setup

Our engineers optimize the casting geometry using Sand Casting or Permanent Mold technologies. We focus on critical factors such as directional solidification, shrinkage allowance, and riser placement. Before pouring, premium aluminum ingots (e.g., A356, A319) are refined and degassed to eliminate hydrogen and impurities, ensuring a clean, stable melt.

Controlled Gravity Casting Process

Unlike high-pressure methods, our Gravity/Sand Casting process relies on controlled metal flow to minimize turbulence and air entrapment. By monitoring pouring temperatures and cooling rates, we ensure a fine grain structure. This process is ideal for producing heavy-duty power fittings and components with thick cross-sections that require maximum mechanical strength.

T6 Heat Treatment & Precision Machining

Post-casting, parts undergo T6 Heat Treatment (Solution & Aging) to significantly enhance tensile strength and hardness—a critical advantage of gravity casting. After removing runners and risers, tolerance-sensitive areas are processed in our high-speed CNC centers to meet exact specifications, ensuring an "easy-to-install" experience.

FAQ

We specialize in delivering fully finished aluminum castings ready for immediate assembly. Drawing on 20 years of expertise in custom metal components, we offer end-to-end solutions. This goes beyond basic casting to include high-precision CNC machining, stringent surface treatments (such as anodizing or corrosion-resistant coatings), and rigorous final inspections. The valve bodies, industrial fittings, or enclosures you receive from us can go straight onto your production line.

We adhere to rigorous craftsmanship standards and a comprehensive quality control system. From spectral analysis of raw materials to X-ray non-destructive testing (NDT) for porosity, and precision coordinate measuring machine (CMM) inspections, we ensure that every casting meets your most stringent tolerance requirements and is free of defects.

Absolutely. Whether it’s the high corrosion resistance required for industrial piping systems, the exceptional thermal conductivity needed for telecommunications heat sinks, or the high strength-to-weight ratio required for structural components, we can precisely match and cast the specific aluminum alloy grade you need.

Typically, mold design and approval of the first article sample (FAS) take 3 to 5 weeks, depending on the casting’s complexity.
