Preformed tension clamps, also known as preformed dead ends or dead-end cable grips, are essential components used with communication ADSS fiber, OPGW, and OPPC cables.
FERR’s Preformed Tension Clamps provide dependable solutions for OPGW, ADSS, and other aerial cables. They are engineered to deliver maximum tension strength while requiring minimal tools for installation.
As a specialized type of guy grip, preformed dead ends play a critical role in ADSS/OPGW transmission lines. These cable grips are designed to securely attach ADSS, OPGW, or OPPC cables to overhead towers and poles.
The innovative design of preformed tension clamps not only streamlines installation but also guarantees cable connection safety. Dead-end cable grips excel in performance by protecting ADSS, OPGW, and OPPC cables from stress-induced damage and preventing signal loss during transmission.
Although preformed tension clamps and guy wire dead-end grips appear similar in shape when used on conductors and earth wires, they differ significantly in terms of specifications, raw materials, and strength requirements.

What’s your typical lead time?
Lead time depends on part complexity and order volume. For most prototypes or low-volume runs, we offer lead times as fast as 5–7 working days. Rush orders can often be accommodated.
Can I request a sample?
Yes. For Electric Power Fitting, we can provide first article samples upon request. Whether it’s sheet metal, CNC-machined, or assembled parts, we offer sample production to help you evaluate form, fit, and function before moving into full production.
What if the size does not match at the installation site?
We support customized service, in case of size inconsistency, you can contact your account manager at the first time. We will assist in confirming the cause of the problem and provide solutions such as modifying drawings, re-processing or replacing parts to ensure smooth installation of the product and reduce your time and cost loss.
